Hello, I am Hardik Ruparel, a cloud technology expert, researcher, and innovator with a passion for leveraging technology to make a meaningful impact. I hold a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, and currently work as a Software Engineer-3 at Nutanix, where I design and develop cutting-edge, petabyte-scale cloud storage solutions for federal and private organizations.
As a researcher, I focus on advancing the fields of cloud computing and the integration of Generative AI in cloud security. My work has been featured in international conferences, and I’m excited to present my latest research at the University of Sharjah this December. Additionally, I’ve served as a technical reviewer for 5+ prestigious international conferences.
I am the founder of a stealth-mode, cloud-based platform designed to accelerate the job search process for students and professionals. This platform, reflects my belief in “Responsible Technology” and aims to make job search guidance and resources accessible to as many students as possible leveraging cloud technologies.
I’m deeply honored to have received global recognition for my contributions, including the 9th Annual Shorty Impact Award in the Multi-Cause Initiative category, along with Gold and Silver Honors for Fight Poverty and Creative Use of Technology, respectively. I also received Audience Honors in all three categories, highlighting the societal impact of my technical innovations.

Led the development of the award-winning gaming app, “Meri Dukaan”, a project currently live in India with over 100,000+ active users. Created in collaboration with the NGO Pratham, this initiative aims to enhance financial literacy among underprivileged youth through a gamified learning experience.

Technical Innovation: Built using JavaScript, Handlebars.js, HTML, and CSS, incorporating the "Reusability Design Principle" to improve maintainability. This approach expedited app delivery by approximately two months, demonstrating efficiency and thoughtful design.
Cloud-Driven Scalability: Leveraged cloud technology to scale the app, enabling it to reach 180,000+ students annually across the APAC region. This technological advancement ensured that students could continue learning remotely, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Mock Interview Evaluator- Project Lead
Led the development of a job preparation platform leveraging cloud technology, designed to assist underprivileged students in mastering essential interview skills.
Technical Innovation: Developed two major components using Computer Vision for detecting eye contact and balanced smiles with an accuracy of over 97%. These features play a crucial role in building confidence and improving non-verbal communication for job interviews.
Cloud-Driven Scalability: Leveraged cloud technology to ensure seamless deployment and scalability, making the platform accessible to students across multiple regions. This solution empowered learners by providing advanced, AI-driven tools for real-world interview preparation.
